"Networking with other 100 Black Men leaders across this country as well as the carefully selected speakers energized my commitment to this fantastic service-focused youth mentoring organization. "I was very honored to be a part of the recent Gamma Cohort for the 100 Black Men of America Leadership Institute.  The experience was exactly what I was looking for from a high level leadership cohort.  It gave me an opportunity to  assimilate nationally and partner with other emerging leaders within the 100 Black Men.  We were all placed in groups of six, where we were able to more intimately share information about our chapters and receive more information on how things are done at the National level.  Our monthly zoom meetings were long days but filled with great speakers sharing their knowledge, experiences and tried and tested ideas.  We were assigned a Leadership book that we went through and like most books there were parts of it I thought were great, other things I did not agree with.  I liked that we had an opportunity to debate those thoughts in our perspective groups.  It is my hope/expectation that this experience will lead to larger leadership opportunities at the local chapters and the national chapter"
