Testimonials
“My experience with the Leadership Institute was awe-inspiring. I will cherish the lessons, the relationships, and the opportunity to be a part of this amazing program for the rest of my life.”
Earl R. Levison
“The 100 Black Men of America Leadership Institute provided a space for me to think about my current leadership skills, learn about leadership skills, and discuss leadership skills that were new to me at the time. It is rare to have this experience and even more rare to have this experience among like-minded individuals who come from different backgrounds and industries.”
Bernard Johnson
“When I was accepted to participate, I was excited beyond measure because I knew it would be a valuable experience for me as a president of a local chapter of The 100. A few takeaways for me were better self-knowledge and awareness of who I am as a leader and the significance for fostering positive and productive relationships. Through my experience with The Leadership Institute, I was able to build additional capacity to better discern the context of my own leadership abilities. Often when you are leading Leaders, it can be over whelming at times, especially when you have Leaders that want to lead while you are leading. I have found that I strengthen my ability to lead by embracing the value of Thought" and not being quick to discount the opinions of others because, I am in charge. This approach has also allowed me to strengthen and build a more positive and productive relationship with those I lead. Finally, being an exemplary model of Leadership through the Leadership Institute has afforded me the ability to coach other how to follow. The mark of a Good Leader is also learning how to be a Good Follower", a mantra that I often use during my coaching and training sessions.”

“The leadership institute taught us how to think outside the box related to the improvement of our chapter. But the capstone provided a chance to understand what our international chapters have to deal with as maintaining their certifications and membership level. Much of their problems are the same for every chapter but capstone allows the tread of ideas as to what and does not work related to membership, funding, and increasing the number of mentees.”
Robert McCoy
“The Leadership Institute has been a tremendous opportunity for my community. Our Capstone project that focuses on eradicating food deserts has opened the door to further partnership and funding for the Las Vegas community and the chapter.”
Kirk Richards
“The 100 Black Men of America Leadership Institute was instrumental in further developing leadership skills that will not only benefit my local chapter, but will also benefit me professionally in my career.
Additionally, the ability to network, develop ideas, and understand the successes and challenges of other chapters with brothers within the cohort will be invaluable for me going forward.”
Stanley Savage

With an outstanding lineup of guest speakers and thought-provoking discussions on timely topics, the journey was not only worthwhile but also an unforgettable opportunity to connect with dynamic brothers from across the country. This fellowship has left an indelible mark, igniting a fire within me to lead and make a difference like never before.”
William Collins
