Mission
The mission of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. is to improve the quality of life within our communities and enhance educational and economic opportunities for all African Americans.
Objective
The objective is to prepare our future leaders to serve by assuming positions of greater responsibility and increased influence at the local chapter, regional and national levels, inside as well as outside of the 100BlackMen organization.
Graduates of The 100 Black Men of America Leadership Institute will possess exceptional leadership competencies, high emotional, social, and cultural intelligence. They will be prepared to for board service on both non-profit and for-profit organizations. Corporate and non-profit organizations and Boards will actively seek to recruit our LI Graduates.
Strategy
The 100Blackmen Leadership Institute will provide a unique experience, a rigorous and robust curriculum consisting of assessments, lectures, interactive case studies, peer-to-peer coaching, and group projects. Potential topics include non-profit governance, ethics, fundraising, volunteer recruitment/management, strategic planning, succession planning; technology, executive presence/communication, conflict resolution/difficult conversations; critical thinking; advanced negotiation and influencing skills.
Impact Statement
Culturally informed leadership development and coaching will strengthen the intra-organizational network, creating a fabric of leaders who are not just adept at managing their chapters, but also at fostering collaboration across various community partners and initiatives. The commitment to leadership development will also serve as a beacon to attract new members who are seeking to develop their leadership potential within a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
